5One of the best "cheap" FM transmitters I've used  Oct 20, 2010 By Amanda
I've had this for about 24 hours, and it's arguably one of the best FM transmitters I've ever had (and I've had about 10 or so--all inexpensive). The sound is good, I don't have to turn the volume all the way up on my radio, and it's really easy to use. I like that you can use it as a charger, or not. That way, when the kids or hubby need to plug in one of their devices (DS, iPod, Garmin, etc), I can still listen to my music through the radio. My 9-year-old son likes the remote because he can change the songs or turn it up as he likes, which is good for him, but maybe not so good for me. :) All in all, for the money, an excellent addition to my car and phone.

2Good idea - but...  Oct 29, 2010 By Computreneur "Computreneur"
I like the idea of this device. Plug in and charge while listening to my books over my car stereo.

Alas, first, it did not fit well with any of the 3 cases I tried - the connection is poor and I must maneuver the device to get a connection and then set it down gingerly to maintain the connection. My wife has a slide case, so she can slide the bottom off - but that's a pain. It didn't work at all with my iPhone 4 Otter Commuter case. I changed cases; partially so I could use this device, and it didn't work well with a simple thin plastic case either. So, I got my Dremel out, and filed out the bottom of the plastic case (OK, I admit - I was now determined to get this thing to work...). Well it does -- sort of. I can now plug it in and get a better, but not really solid connection (do I dare file even more??!) If you persevere as I have though, you will then have an FM transmitter charger duo, that works........well, OK. It apparently lacks a very strong signal as I find it difficult to get a station on which it will play clearly, and sometimes have resorted to disconnecting the transmitter and just listening to my book on the iPhone built-in speakers.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye: iPhone vendors! - when will you figure out almost everyone uses a case with their iPhone. Design the plugs longer so they can fit a wider variety of cases. This is not rocket science.

So, for fit - great if you don't use a case. You take your chances if you do. Sound Quality - don't expect much in an area with lots of radio stations. I live in a town of only 150,000, and it is barely passable here. Wish it worked better...because I like the idea...

1Poor Quality  Oct 23, 2010 By emre
That price deserve better quality of equipment. Probably, because of poor quality circuit in the transmitter, there is too much noise while you are listening music from your mobile device.

2Transmitter broke within 24 hous  Jan 24, 2012 By Jodie
I am horribly disappointed in this product, as it was a gift for my sister. She didn't even own it for a day before it broke, and she won't let me return it. She's the type to keep a broken item, or not return a cold meal at a restaurant! Needless to say, for the short time it did work, she loved it!

1Horrible!  Oct 23, 2010 By Hgpic
You could tell that the item had been used before. And when I went to plug it into my car it picked up no stations. Complete disappointment.
