5Good Product  Jan 14, 2010 By T. Houchin
After reading about some of the issues others had with low priced chargers, I decided to spend a little more for a brand name, hoping to get a good product...and I did. Both the home charger and the car charger work perfectly with my iPod Touch 3G. Both chargers appear to have good quality construction and have indicator lights that change from red to green to indicate when the iPod is charged. Unlike some of the other cables, the cable that came with this product will charge the iPod and can be used to sync the iPod with iTunes. I just finished a sync and it works as well as the cable that came with the iPod. Note: the cable connector end that connects directly to the iPod has a button that is used to release it from the iPod before you remove the cable. Since the original iPod cable did not have this, I thought the new cable was stuck in the iPod when I tried to remove it the first time. A simple push of the button enables an immediate release from the iPod.

3Works but with caveats  May 25, 2009 By Vicestor
I bought this kit as it gave me an extra AC adaptor brick and a sync cable as well as letting me charge my iPhone 3G in the car.

In terms of charging, everything works as advertised. The 1000mA AC Adaptor and 500mA car adaptor lets me charge more than use my iPhone; I was able to charge a Microsoft Zune Media player and a AT&T Fuze mobile phone. Definitely good value if you ask me.

From what I read the car adaptor's output isn't enough to charge the iPhone when it's being used. Being an engineer I can understand that from the specs, however my phone charged up while I played music. Note I had 3G on, wifi & bluetooth off.

The one big minus for me is that the included sync cable will not allow me to sync my iPhone to my PC. When I plug in the cable my Vista x64 computer said I plugged in an unknown usb device. I've tried uninstalling and installing drivers to no end. I guess the only good thing that it does let me charge up the phone. Hopefully this cable doesn't damage my device.

**Please note that even though I have an iPhone 3G and the title of the product states for iPod and iPhone 1G, the Griffin website says this works with 3G iPhones.

Overall good bit of kit for the money. I just wished the sync cable will sync instead of just charging.

4Appears to work for 4th Gen iPod Touch  Jan 06, 2011 By LUCINDA VAN
I was looking for a reasonable alternative to the OEM wall and car charger for my new 4th Generation 32Gig iPod Touch. I got a little frustrated by the lack of clarity, detail and specifications on the description of this Griffin product's hardware compatability on Amazon's website. I am not a technical type so after going back and forth, back and forth between Griffin and Amazon's websites, I determined that this product would probably work for my new iPod - both for US and International travel.

I just the whole package yesterday (iPod and Griffin chargers) and so far so good. Seems that these chargers will work on this newest 4th gen iPod. I won't know if the voltage conversion feature will work until I travel internationally later this year.

The price went down substantially (about 28%) since I bought this item a little over a week ago so that was a bit of a disappointment for me but at the current low price, the quality appears to be there so it's a great bargain if it holds up over time. My only initial complaint is that the wall charger is a bit bulky as compared to some of the other wall chargers. Perhaps this is necessary to incorporate the voltage converter.

Overall, I would have to say I am pleased with my purchase and that it's a good value for the money -- even at the higher price I paid for it.

2Works... almost  Jul 08, 2009 By Michael Scafidi
Product came as indicated. It looked like it would work, but when my iPod Touch reached 80% charge the light switched to green and the iPod stopped charging. It maintained its charge at 80% but would not go any higher.

I will say, it works perfectly for my iPod Classic, but it does not work for the iPod Touch properly as advertised.

5Nicely made charging duo  Feb 01, 2010 By David
This home and auto charging pair work well with the 3rd generation iPod Touch (and the manufacturer's site confirmed its compatibility). The home charger is compact and has folding prongs. The sync/charge cord looks well made, and is a good length for the car, but some might want more than the 3 feet it provides at home. The auto charger is reasonably small. Both have lighted indicators to show when they are charging, and they change colors to show when the charging is complete. Also, both offer some protection for voltage spikes.
