Features
  • Made-for-iPod and Works-with-iPhone Bluetooth Transmitter. Plug and play, easy to pair, remembers previously paired devices and re-connects easily. Pairs/connects to stereo receivers with pin codes '0000' or '1111', or '1234' or '8888'.

  • Tiny size, smaller than other Bluetooth Transmitters for iPods, iPhones.

  • Elegant streamline design with luxurious white color, shine and finish for refreshingly new and clean look/feel - unlike the dull finish in other products.

  • Easy to use, no buttons design. With no button there will be no accumulation of unsightly hard-to-clean dirt/grime in the edges of the button, as designed in many other products - some with particularly large button in the front.

  • High quality codec for clear audio, low power. Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR (Enhanced Data Rate), compatible with Bluetooth Stereo Receivers, eg S10 Stereo Headset with pristine audio (with Enhanced Data Rate)

Description

i10s responds to Receiver Remote AVRCP commands (Play, Pause, Next, Previous). Smallest size compared to other products made by other manufacturers in this category. Transmits stereo audio from iPods, iPhones, iPads wirelessly to compatible Bluetooth receivers. This product is BOTH Made-for-iPod and Works-With-iPhone, unlike many other iPod Bluetooth Transmitters that are only Made-for-iPod. Includes Authentication IC chip, which allows for local iPod, iPhone, iPad volume adjustment - that is not possible with other Made-for-iPod only transmitters that do not include Authenticaion IC chip. Low power consumption, for many hours of wireless audio enjoyment with iPods, iPhones and iPads. No batteries needed, powered by iPod/iPhone/iPad. No cables needed, attach to iPod/iPhone/iPad via 30-pin connector. Simple to operate. Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, Class 2. Works with iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPhone (1st gen), iPod touch (1st-4th gen), iPod nano (1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th and latest 6th gen tiny iPod nano), iPod classic (80,120,160GB).
Advantages of this new Tiny i10s vs Sony's (2006) iPod Transmitter:
(1) i10s includes an Apple Authentication chip that will authenticate with iPod/iPhone/iPad. This authentication process enables local volume adjustments on the iPod/iPhone/iPad to change the volume at the remote receiver. Sony iPod Transmitter does not have an Apple Authentication chip and because of this there is no local iPod/iPhone/iPad volume adjustment possible to change the volume at the remote receiver.
(2) This i10s is less than 2/3 the size of Sony's iPod Transmitter, making this a better fit for your iPod/iPhone/iPad. i10s industrial design is a better match for the elegantly designed iPods/iPhones/iPads.
(3) No buttons needed to pair and connect, just plug i10s into iPod/iPhone/iPad and it will automatically pair and connect to receiver. No button also means no additional mechanical failure mode on this i10s device.

5Holy crap this thing is awesome  Jan 29, 2011 By Boiler29
Hands down best IPOD bluetooth transmitter ever made. I bought this for using my IPOD (7th generation classic 160GB) at the gym with my Motoroloa SD10-hd's and at work with a comfy set of Samsung bluetooth SBH headphones. There is NO cutout when running (and jostling) the IPOD. I saw several other bluetooth transmitters having this problem.

The best thing about this transmitter is the range. It is simply amazing. 100' easy through doors and walls. I can leave the ipod on one side of the house and walk to the other without getting cutout. It sips power so I haven't noticed a major drain on the battery when in use. I can listen to music via bluetooth for 9 hours at work before the battery goes dead.

Size is great. It seemed to be the smallest on the market. It's solidly built with a firm fit. I plug it in and it pairs to the nearest headset, not much else to it.

I'm not sure there are any cons for this product.

4Recommended!  Nov 21, 2010 By Joe Foerster
The first one I got had a problem remembering the devices it was paired to. I requested a return from the company because that was a pain to deal with. But the company told me it wasn't supposed to work that way and the sent me a new one, asking me to return the old one at my convenience. The new one does remember pairings and works great.

I also own the one Sony makes and frankly this one is more convenient since you don't have to turn it on after plugging it in. It's also a bit smaller than the Sony. Sound quality compared with the Sony is about the same and is quite good. This unit will let you change volume at the iPod where the Sony will only output the max, but I don't find that to be a useful feature as you will want it set to max in almost all cases. I have Bluetooth on the car radio and I can stream audio to it from this easily. I can also use it with my Bluetooth Nokia headphones so I don't have to deal with those headphone wires. Works with both my 5th gen and 6th gen Nano perfectly.

5Perfect fix for missing AVRCP on Apple iOS products  Dec 01, 2010 By AWLnet "Lee"
The i10s works exactly as described. Has full AVRCP functionality. I can finally use my wireless Bluetooth headsets to stop, FF, RW, and leave my gear (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) in my gearbag. I no longer have to worry about flashing $$$ devices while commuting to and from work.

Read the following link. Apple does not support AVRCP.

Used to have Motorola, Sony, and iMUFF adapters. The Kokkia i10s is the easiest, smallest, trouble free adapter to pair to Bluetooth headphones.

5Kokkia Ipod Bluetooth Adapter - Better than Advertised!  Feb 22, 2011 By GGM
I was quite surprised to find out that my Motorola Ipod Bluetooth Adapter and S-9 headset would not work with my new 6th gen. Ipod Nano (Thanks Apple!) after using it on my 2nd gen. Nano for several years. After reading several reviews on the Kokkia adapter I ordered one and, as usual, Amazon had it to me a day before promised. I plugged it into my Nano and it instantly connected to my S-9 headset without even having to pair it! Another nice feature is that it allows the headset controls to operate the Nano.

One great thing I noticed was that the Kokkia adapter does not lose its connection even when I am jogging. My Motorola adapter was always dropping the connection and then had trouble pairing up again. The small size of the Kokkia adapter makes it a great match for the new style Ipod Nano. This product is the real deal!

Pros: Small size, Effortless Bluetooth pairing, Great connection, Ability to use controls on headset and not have to fumble with Ipod

Cons: Small size (after the massive size of the Motorola adapter I am afraid I will lose this adapter and have to use corded earphones until I can order another one!)

5Outstanding with iPod Classic 160GB @ the Gym.  Mar 07, 2011 By media97
Outstanding product. Currently using with an iPod Classic 160GB at the Gym.

Pros:
-Extremely compact
-Pulls power from the iPod
-Plugs in and is ready to go, no complexity

Observations:
This device allows you to still control the gain output of the iPod manually (through the iPod's volume control) while it's plugged in. However, I've observed that the volume that the iPod is set to when the device is plugged in becomes the max gain that is achievable. Suggest that you max the volume of the iPod before plugging in the device. Then once you pair with a headset, adjust the iPod and headset volumes to achieve a good mix.

Highly recommend.

I'd like to add that my iPod 160GB lasts about 4 hours before the battery runs out with the Transmitter plugged in.
