1DON'T buy this item for you iPhone from CCM Accessories  Jul 08, 2010 By Natalie L. Russo
This product states in the "Technical Details" that it's compatible will Apple iPhones. It is NOT. I bought this item for my 1st generation iPhone and the buttons to skip through tracks on the headphones don't work. I wore these on a jog and the headphones would randomly skip through songs even though I wasn't touching the buttons.

There is also an issue if you use this item near other wireless non-bluetooth devices. If I use these headphones near my computer my wireless mouse becomes disabled. The technology just isn't there for blue-tooth wireless headphones yet.

ALSO, this product is sold by CCM Accessories. This company has poor customer service. I emailed them about the product so I could return it. They didn't respond after 5 days so I had to call them. They initially refused to send me a shipping label and told me I would be responsible for the shipping charges. They claim that they are listing this item for IPod use only. Even though you'll see in the technical details that it clearly states that you can use it for Apple iPhones. I had to argue this point. It is not the customers responsibility to pay shipping for a product that is defected and not for use as specified. I had to call back CCM Accessories 3 times to get them to send the shipping label. I will never buy any product through Amazon again unless the product is coming directly from Amazon.

1S9-HD - don't waste your time  Feb 01, 2012 By ER_41
Haven't found ideal B/T headset...yet. Tried a few different products, returned two. Will keep looking. Products tried are Motorola S9-HD, ARTIC Sound P311 and Plantronics Backbeat 903+. Primary use is music (iPods) with occasional phone call (Blackberry). I'm no audio-snob wanting super-rich highs or bone-jarring bass. Just want something for on-the-go or working outside that's small with good sound, easy to use, comfortable, and stays in place. Here's a good/bad/ugly summary. Read further for the details on each.

The good: P311 for a less-elegant, less sophisticated, but low-cost option, I recommend these.
The bad: 903+ looks great with good features, but uncomfortable. I returned them.
The ugly: S9 flat-out uncomfortable and a pairing enigma. I returned these, too.

Considering others to add alongside my P311: LG Tone HBS-700 (not sure about neck collar thing) or Jabra SPORT (pricy, but used other Jabra devices with good results), among others.

P311 --- Four Stars. On-ear style is bulkier than earbud style of 903+ or S9, but was far and away the most comfortable. Bulk kept it from being five stars. Can be paired with only one device at a time, but knew this going in. For a price under $30, the size and tech trade-offs are acceptable. Pairs easily with Touch or BB and auto-connects seamlessly. No drops, no poor connections, no static. Can't say how well it works on a phone used for both music and calls - I didn't attempt it. Used only on calls indoors, and mic pick-up and sound is very good for person on other end of the call. Can't say how well it works outdoors in wind (I use Jawbone w/Noise Assassin for those occasions anyway). All controls worked as intended. I've held off buying an adapter for my Nano until I was sure I'd keep it. If I do, it won't be a Motorola adapter (see S9 comments below).

903+ --- Two Stars. Under $50, had high hopes given its sleek design and success with previous Plantronics products. But ultimately returned it because it was uncomfortable. Liked the flexible cord around the back of the head (didn't get caught as others stated; I have short hair). But the molded plugs that stick into the ear (sort of modified earbuds) are very uncomfortable. Plug works in tandem with loop around the ear to help keep them in place, but were uncomfortable no matter how I adjusted them. Plantronics gave this a lot of thought because the design allows for rotating the plugs and the loop can be adjusted by elongating the stem. But even so, after many attempts and adjustments it just wasn't comfortable. Paired easily independently on Touch and BB and it can handle two devices at once, but is tricky using a BB and I couldn't find much in the manual or online about it. I called Plantronics. Turns out, the trick is to pair the Touch first and then the BB - otherwise the BB consumes two different profiles (one for audio, other for headset), leaving no profile left for the 903+ to pair with the Touch. This is a BB issue not the 903+. In the end, paring was not the determining factor...I couldn't get past the comfort problem.

S9 --- One Star. Bought combo headset and iPod adapter (D670) for just under $90. Returned it because it was uncomfortable and had major paring issues. Earbud portion was OK, but felt tight behind the ear and on the side of the head. This helps keep it in place, but tightness seemed excessive on the fit for me. And wrap-around bar is a bit bulky. Most frustrating was pairing - very inconsistent. Sometimes it had to be in discovery mode to get connected (even after first try), sometimes not. Sometimes I had to power it off then back on to be recognized. Sometimes I had to power off/on both S9 and Touch for it to be recognized. Using the iPod adapter was a nightmare with a Nano, pairing was hit-or-miss no matter what on-off combinations I tried. I'm fairly tech-savvy, but with so many paring issues along with lack of comfort, I decided it just wasn't going to work out for me. The S10 model doesn't look much different and I don't plan to find out if solves any of these problems.

1Biggest piece of garbage ever  Nov 16, 2011 By javier murillo
Any good reviews of this product are from buyers who didn't wait at least 4 months b4 they reviewed it. Where shall I begin with the long list of problems I experineced with these headphones. Battery life sucked from the start, buttons on the side never worked, didn't always pair properly with bluetooth device, would suddenly shut off, volume would turn down by itself and I could not turn it back up, rubber parts started eroding after 2 months (I must have corrosive sweat), would not charge when connected and finally they stopped working all together after about 90 hours of use. When they did work they sounded great but I have nothing positive to say about this product.

3Relatively good sound quality  Jul 19, 2011 By lrea
Purchased this for my iPod.

Pros:
Good audio quality.
Extensive number of control functions built-in.
Easy to setup and use.

Cons:
This is a big one: Battery life is very short. Requires frequent recharges.
One size fits all doesn't (maybe because I have a big head).
Wish the ear pieces were made of a more comfortable material.
