Rock Safely With The Best Sound Yet! May 25, 2010
By Martin A Hogan
"Marty From SF"
First, let's get to the sound! The highs are crisp and the lows are precise and totally solid. The bass is as good as my Sony MDR-NC60 Noise Canceling Headphone and I've never heard that kind of quality from any other earbuds. In fact, throw out your old earbuds!
The hands-free microphone is very small and clips to your shirt. Your voice is clear to the other party and the call/music function is great, as when you make a call the music quickly fades away. However, I have the `iPhone 3G' and the Remix Call/Music Control and `3 button Remote' only work on the `iPhone 3GS'. It is odd talking to someone through ear-buds instead of a Bluetooth, but it's safe.
The kit comes with a pair of Sport Ear-hooks which are great in keeping your ear buds solidly in your ear with no interruption from the cords when you are walking, jogging or exercising. You also get a choice of four earbud cushion sizes, which is great. It does work with any model of iPod or MP3 players that have a 3.5mm jack (standard) and of course, it has all the fancy stuff like 24-gold-plated plugs, silicone fittings, metal construction, Kevlar cable and such. But the final word is the quality of sound. As I said, the highs are crisp and the bass is just so unbelievable in these little guys. Rock safely!

By sfcity I own these and the Klipsch s4i. They're both great sets of headphones and I don't strongly prefer one over the other. I like these ones because the cord is heavier and they are much less apt to tangle. The remote control button feels a little more solid and waterproof and in general they feel well constructed. As far as sound, these are definitely more bassy. I kind of like that, but it may not be to everyone's liking. The design of the jack seems smart. I find them to be quite comfortable.

Excellent Dec 28, 2010
By TechOuttaTen

First off, I purchased these earbuds as a replacement for my stock apple earbuds with controller. I got very used to having the controller on my earbuds and I don't think I could ever buy a pair withought it again. These earbuds struck me because they are gorgeous, well priced, and had all the features I needed. now to the review.
Sound quality: Just utterly excellent! I put these earbuds in expecting great quaility and they did not disappoint! The bass is BUMPIN' and they sound extremely clear! Best earbuds I have used! But with some earbud fittings they are comfortable but it sounds a bit (very tiny bit) muffled.
Comfortability: These earbuds are very comfortable, they are made of metal, so is the controller, and with the heavy duty cable, they are a little heavy and pull on your ear but its nothing to bad. Nothing really to complain about. all in all, they are quite comfortable.
Durability: These earbuds are made out of complete metal and the cord is wrapped in Kevlar (what they make bullet proof vests out of!) these will DEFINITELY last you a VERY long time!
Design: These earbuds are simply BEAUTIFUL! The slick black metal mixed with the shiny chrome really makes for awesome looking earbuds! Great design!
Packaging: These earbuds come in a great looking and just big enough box providing nice look, protection, and not being bigger than it needs to be, I love it.
Extras: You really do get bang for your buck. The box doesn't just contain earbuds, it comes with a nice looking carrying sack, adapter to make them "around the ear", and MANY different buds!
Controller: The controller is very nice. It is solid metal with nice rubber buttons making it feel nice and remain durable. The only thing is you must push the buttons rather hard for them to work, but nothing to bad, not a deal-breaker by any means.
FINAL PROS AND CONS: Pros: -Great sound -Amazing build quility -Beautiful looking -Awesome features
Cons: -Could sound kinda muffled with some bud fittings -Controller buttons are kinda hard -Quite heavy making them a little uncomfortable after long usage
ALL IN ALL: Great product, well worth the price tag, definitely a purchase you wont regret making!

Good pair for the price... Jan 01, 2011
By R. Klein I seem to be buying new ear phone sets all the time. I use them a lot at the gym with my iPod and when I travel, or even work around the house.
The biggest problem for me has been that one phone stops after a while. I bought these because they claim to have a reinforcement thread in the wire to reduce or prevent that problem.
I like that someone has actively tried to address what must be a very common problem with these phones.
I'm not especially hard on my phones, running the cord down my shirt so they never catch on equipment, and I always treat them carefully when storing them.
So far, so good with this set.
I am interested both in sound quality, and in blocking outside noise. At the upper end, I've bought Shure in-the-ear phones (twice), and found the sound quality superior to any other set. But both sets gave up the ghost on me after a year or less, with one side crapping out. So, given their price and track record, Shure is out of the running for me.
I've also bought some cheap pairs of in-the-ear phones, and been mighty disappointed; by sound quality, sound blocking, and by durability. In a word, junk.
These phones seem like an excellent compromise. I'd say sound quality is vastly superior to phones in the $20-$30 range, and so far, after a few months, they're holding up well. They feel sturdy, owing to a thicker feeling wire.
They are reasonably good at blocking out ambient sound. They come with optional use ear brackets that can be used by lacing the wires through the plastic, and clipping them behind your ears.
I haven't found them much better than just draping the wire behind my ear. When I move around, sometimes, one of the brackets will just work off my ear. The fit of the phone itself holds it inside my ear, however.
What I DO find a GREAT feature is the 3-button control on the wire. When using my iPod, I can raise or lower the volume, or stop/start play using the control. I don't need to take out the iPod, or enter an access code. Just press the control, and it plays or stops. What a convenient feature!
I imagine it also saves on battery life, as the screen needn't come to life to adjust volume, stop, or start play where I left off. The iPod just picks up where I left off, without activating the screen.
On the whole, I would recommend these phones, which seem to be a very good deal for the price. They provide good sound reproduction (crisp highs, decent bass, and distinct mid-range), good sound blocking (you might have to switch included ear sleeves for best fit), and the added convenience of an in-line control for on/off and volume.
Hopefully, the attention to what I usually find the greatest mechanical weakness - the wire - will lead to a long, active life for these phones!

Good but not Great Sep 25, 2010
By Iman Maghrorri I got these two weeks ago.
At first it was hard to get them to stay in my ears. But with the help of the "ear wraps" (I don't know what they're called), they stay in pretty well. I probably have to adjust them 3 to 5 times per 6 mile run.
When they're in, the sound is great! No complaints. The remote is unlike the the ipod / iphone remote where it's on the right ear phone. The remote is slightly lower than where both the right and left join. So if you're use to wrapping the cable behind your head, it will be a pain to get to.
It came with a clip to hold the cable onto my clothes... it works but I don't use it. I find that the ear wraps are more than adequate. d
So far so good. But I don't know if they're actually worth $80, but I got them on sale and I'm perfectly happy.
I use to go through the apple headphones all the time. The sweat would cause them to break. So far... no problems after ~ 30 miles of running with them.
